In recent years, I've picked up new responsibilities at Haskell including the corporate newsletter, intranet management, video displayboards, and technical editing. IABC has been a great educational help for me as I learn more about internal communications. I'm also married to a Navy journalist, so perhaps IABC is even helping me with communications at home!
Role/title in IABC
As the President Elect and V.P. of Membership this year, I want to be sure that our current and potential members are aware of the fantastic benefits of IABC membership. As a member of our chapter, not only will you join a local network of friendly and experienced communicators in the Jacksonville area, but you will also tap into the extensive research and truly international connections of the IABC resources online. The membership committee coordinates new member lunches and networking events, and stays in touch with members throughout the year to listen to their needs.
