Role/title in IABC
As the President of IABC First Coast, my main responsibilities include overseeing our executive board of highly qualified individuals to lead our members in enhancing their professional development and career growth. It is also my responsibility to ensure that each member is afforded the opportunity to volunteer and be engaged in IABC bringing value to their membership.
In my role as a communications specialist with Community Hospice, I work with internal and external audiences to communicate our mission: to improve the quality of life for patients and families and to be the compassionate guide for end-of-life care in our community. I serve as the webmaster for communityhospice.com, as the internal specialist for Community PedsCare®, a unique palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families, and communicator for patients and families in our care.
One interesting fact about yourself that others might not know: When I was a professional photographer, I photographed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart for the University of Michigan Law School, and professional football players for the USFL.
