Who are we?
IABC First Coast Chapter members are the professionals who create buzz for a living. We are the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, headquartered in San Francisco, California which boasts over 15,000 members worldwide. Our growing chapter of professional communicators lives and works in the greater Jacksonville area that includes Neptune and Jax Beach, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Mayport, and Fernandina Beach.
The First Coast chapter hosts over 20 development and networking events a year. IABC First Coast provides services, activities, and networking opportunities to help members achieve professional excellence and drive the success of their organizations through effective communication strategies and practices.
Our members include public relations and communication professionals from Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, communication agencies, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, advertising and promotion agencies, audio visual, web developer, as well as freelance writers and consultants to the industry. Each has made a commitment to ongoing professional development and has a strong need to network with other communicators. Many members will acknowledge that their promotions and job positions were a result of the relationships build at networking activities.
